Being in vogue is going blonde! It is an easy process, which requires taking care of few vital points. You can get it done at home using a wide array of products available across the shelf at home. But, it is important to choose the color for your hair carefully.

Apply the lightening application nearly one half of an inch from the scalp towards the end followed by applying lighter version to the roots fifteen minutes before the time is up. The heat from the scalp permeates through the hair and bleaches the hair near roots faster and lighter than the rest of your hair.
Once done, check the finish color before you wash it by wiping a strand of hair. If you want a still lighter version, you can leave it on for another 15 min and then wash out. It is better to color your hair a month before an occasion. This allows time for corrections, if required.
There are applications available, which can bring out the most dramatic colors. Some dying agents are not meant for temporary purpose, the color penetrates into the hair shaft, incase of bleached hair. As a natural process, sun bleaches your natural hair pigment, irrespective of whether you color or not.
Some consider bleaching works best to lighten hair. Bleaching your hair using hydrogen peroxide depletes the natural pigment from the central base of the hair. Next is the toning process. You can then shade your new blonde hair with ashy, neutral hue or warm red etc.
Bleaching causes irreversible damage to your hair. Once initiated, you’ll have to touch up hair roots atleast once a month. Hence, it is better to think twice before getting your hair bleached. And if you have decided to get it done, it is best to leave it to a professional hair colorist for the first couple of times before doing it yourself. A strand test is essential in any case.
