There are so many SEO companies out there and individuals peddling SEO services like cheap wares off the street that it is really difficult to know when you are getting a 'Full Service' or only having your tires checked….
With this post I will point out some of the things you should be looking for when deciding on what SEO Company to go with:
seowizzards
1. What is the SEO Company Offering
From just the basic information you gather from the company, you should come up with an understanding of what you are getting for your $$$. If you are still not sure what you paying for, choose someone else.
2. List 5 things from Point 1 that the Company Will be doing
This is actually harder than it sounds because many 'SEO' Specialists out there want to keep the truth from you and don't want you to know what they do. If you are not clear what they will be doing to your site or with your site, then choose someone else.
3. Rankings or Traffic?
Most people choose rankings. But many SEO Pirates and wannabes will promise you rankings and Guarantee top positions – but seldomly give you the keywords that will generate traffic for you. Be sure you are getting keywords with realistic search volumes and not just ones that will be easy to rank.
This paragraph is difficult to compare, because not all SEO Companies are concerned only with Rankings, some, such as Search Engine Optimisation Works offers a Full Service SEO focusing on Traffic as well as Conversions into sales – and that is the bottom line.
4. Getting to Know your Company
Again, a hard thing to do as many SEO Companies treat their clients as fodder – not really caring about you or your business, only that their contract is fulfilled and that your are bound by it to pay them.
Some, on the other hand, work with you and get to know you and your business and will treat you with care and help you grow your business through proper and ethical online marketing.
5. Common Sense
I think I have posted this before. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn’t. Go with your gut feelings on things like this, and becareful when you sign on the dotted line. Many contracts have loop holes (that benefit the company) and many lock you in for several months or years…
